Lots been happening!

Yesterday Matt, Ellee, and I left meeting and drove ourselves up to see the newest Dudgeon :) And my oh my, is she a cutie. SOOOO MUCH HAIR! This maybe the asian accent to the Dudgeon in her :) So cute. I can't imagine if baby girl had this much hair! I have a feeling she will not though. Ha.

Ellee was not too sure about this thing. She didn't seem to have any jealousy issues which was really good. She tried poking eyes though, and then Sarah was old so she departed to find something much more interesting. I have a feeling in the next 3 months Ellee will change a lot though on many, many levels, so I really don't think this experience is a good gauge of how she truly will react.

On top of that, WE HAVE A NEW VAN!! YAY!!
Matt and I both love it. So spacious and nice. And I dont have to bend over my belly to buckle ellee in :) I am 100% sure Ellee loves it too, as she sits with her feet crossed and pacifier and elleephant in hand and just looks out the window :)

On Another exciting note, Landon came over to play last thursday!  A funtime was definitely had by all. Note: Ellee watching Landon as he paraded around with the "crown" (actually a plastic basketball hoop to our plastic gym) and ellee's large pink ball.

Best chocolate cake...EVERRRRRR

Recipe to follow. For now. Look at its amazingness. And it maybe possible for it taste even better then it looks. Ive been through at least 3 recipes and then 3 icing variations. Finally figured out the icing myself to make it the best! !!!!!!!

Icing
1/4 c shortening
1 stick of butter, softened
tsp vanilla
1/2 c cocoa
2-3tbsp hot coffee
3 c icing sugar

Just blend it all together. If you need thicker or thinner, add icing sugar or a splash of milk accordingly.  I made a batch and then doubled it to ice the entire cake GENEROUSLY. And I had some left over which I froze. We'll see if its thaws out well or not :S

Cake!

A new fascination

Ellee has been having a rough time these days. She simply has crazy energy and the days all start the same. She rips through all her toys, pulls them off the shelves and then they become old. And she is completely uninterested in them. One fascination that has not disappeared is her obsession with electronics. The remote, the laptop, my phone. If she could touch the tv I cant imagine what kind of shape it'd be in!

Once the toys are old, which is very apparent when she starts tailgating me and trying to take away anything I have (flyers, grocery lists, phone, dishes, etc), I have resorted to playing videos of herself on the computer. Most of her as 6 months old when shes sitting up and babbling and such. I am not sure if shes obsessed with the baby in the video, she is a very vain child, haha, or with my voice coming out of the computer which seems like its talking to her.

This is her watching a video of herself. So cuteeeeeeeeeeeeee.

And this is the video she is obsessed with!!!!!!!!

Is that a foot?

This child is crazy! (The unborn one, that is)
Not only does she practice water aerobics every morning, she also likes to pretend shes a human canon as well as do some cardio kick boxing!

The water aerobics is pretty self explanatory-its like constant movement with no rhyme or reason. The human canon is her burrowing to the left, a little more, a little more, and then I feel a landing on my right side followed quickly by some sort of upward punch?
And the cardio kick boxing. My goodness. Its like punch kick breath, punch, punch, breath,  and so on and so on.

I get that exercise is good and all but she's doing enough for the both of us.
Ellee was not like this to my recollection. Not as aggressive or forceful. She is now, but not in her early months and not in the womb. I pray that this child is as much of a champ sleeper as Ellee was. :) That will make me sooooooooooooooo happy.

On another note, PROJECT NURSERY IS IN THE WORKS! and boy, I am excited! After spending much time interneting and such, I am in love with 3 things. Chevron, teal, and owls. And my goal is to bring all three of these things together for baby girl!

I've decided I shall do the chevron pattern on one solid wall in the nursery to create a fabulous accent wall. I cant decide if I should alternate the teal and pink, or if I should do light and dark pink with the teal covering the other three walls. The main colours to be incorporated in the room shall be teal, pink, and a soft lime-ish olive green. Sounds odd, but it will be fantastic. With splashes of colorful birdies and of course her name in white wood letters :) I've even found some decals that I like and plan on using.

I've found a tutorial on how to do chevron and I hope to tackle this all in the near future as I really don't feel like doing all that taping and measuring when I am extra large! :)

Beaches & Babes. Literally!

As promised, here is the newest weekly picture of baby belly. I missed my 22 week picture. I know, shouldnt have. But with being away from home and such, there just wasnt a prime opportunity. Plus I did not bring my DIY chalkboard on the 6 hour car ride. But when you have a 13 month old with you make that like... 7 hour car ride :)

I actually kind of hate this picture. Buttt...we'll see if I update with a different one! :)

One of the last things we squeezed in while still at my parents was a trip to the beach. I miss this incredibly.
7 minutes.
That's how far it is in the car to the sand. So wonderful. If only it was the same here! Somehow lake Huron tops out lake Michigan on all charts. Lake Huron is always just so nice and great and I have no negative things to say about it :)

I am pretty sure Ellee didn't either. She thoroughly enjoyed her time there. As did I. My skin has a nice brown tinge to it :) At first I took her out about 15-20 feet or so and the water was up to my waist. I put her in the floaty and got down beside her. The waves freaked her out though, or angered her might be a better word. But I never thought about it from her perspective. If your level with the water those waves probably look like gigantic mountains, like what you'd see on TV in Hawaii or the pacific coast somewhere. It resulted in her screaming and then hitting the water in anger. I brought her back in and then she rolled in the sand and ate some of it and then ventured back to the shore. This she found to be amazing. She'd crawl right up and then the water would come out and lap her in the belly she'd squeal and clap and run away. When she realized it wasn't chasing her, she'd turn around and go back, and so repeat the process many times :)
What a cute little stink she is. I tried my best in the pictures to grasp the sheer enjoyment and pleasure but really didn't get any smiley pictures. She LOVED it though!!!!

Oh and did I mention a fun and EXHAUSTING time was had by all :)

But we're home now. And sooooo happy to be home. There's a mess in my foyer, Ellee's carseat needs to be washed again, clothes to be folded, floors to be vacuumed, and grass to be cut among many many other things. But we're home and so happy to be back to a family of 3 :) We sure missed Matt!!!!! He's dealing okay with the 6 hour time change. He made it almost till 9 before thoroughly conking out. Hopefully he stays out all night and I don't wake up to him pacing beside the bed at 3 am like last time he went to Belgium on business :S.

But we still miss nana and poppop!!!

Hope to post a picture tomorrow once were home!
In the meantime, Ellee and I will be hitting the road tomorrow to get home. I am sooooo excited to see Matt. It seems like its been an infinite amount of time. I am sure he'll be happy to be back in the states and hopefully hes well relaxed and ready to get back to busy life-as our life is nothing but go-go-go.

No big plans coming up, but we do have our church picnic next Saturday, our anniversary is on the 21st, and then we are heading to Seattle for vacation on the  29th. Together that is. Vacation together :) And we are so blessed to have an amazing brother and sister-in-law who are willing to keep Ellee for us as we head up to Vancouver for a little anniversary getaway for 2 days. Hopefully its super relaxing and just nice to be childless. We've never actually spent a full night away from her yet....correction, I have never spent a full night away from her yet. And let me tell you, I cant wait! I love her, but to know that I can get up that Friday morning and decide what I am going to have for breakfast and eat it with out even worrying about anyone else, sounds great. I'm sure I'll miss her ridiculous happiness that morning but for one day, I will manage and I know she will too :) She'll probably be too enthrawled with her cousins to even be aware that I am not there.

Off to the animal farm!

A fun day well spent at the Canatara park animal farm. So cute seeing Ellee with the different animals. The goats came to greet us and it was sooooo cute!!

Excuse my ridiculous panic at the end. The goat was starting to chew on the stroller and I am not interested in having any forever memories of the petting zoo :S
