Sick Days and other days.

So I've wondered many times what kind of effect we have on our babes as far as likes and dislikes.

When Ellee was finally big enough to focus and catch what we were watching on tv, it was basically the start of football season. She watched a lot of football with us thats for sure.

Now, Peyton has been tuning in...To basketball. It's going to be cool to see how this works with what they like to do and if they actually pick up any talent from it :)

It was cracking me up though because yesterday Matt and I both fell asleep watching some college bball. Peyton was in her cradle and oddly her cradle was positioned facing the tv. Normally its positioned facing me so I know how shes doing. After about an hour, I woke up, took a peek at her and she was WIDE awake, sucking on her pacifier and staring avidly at the game. baha. Oh child.
Although, her Papa will LOOOOOOOOOOVE it if she plays basketball with him :)

Highlight of my week:
WE MATT Found the camera! Finally! YES!!
If anyone has noticed the past couple months has been lots of pictures of Peyton. Thats cuz I couldnt find the camera and shes the only one who sits still for a picture long enough so its not blurry. I've been going a little picture crazy on Ellee since I feel like I may have robbed her picture chidlhood of 2 months!

Lowlight:
I was sick the whole week. Not just a little sick.
The kind of sick that never seems to end and each day you wake up with a new symptom. I thought multiple days last week, oh this is the worst of it, downhill from here. I think its downhill from here though. So this is day 7 of illness. But really I think today is the start of getting lots better, if only I could stop coughing...

Since I've been sick Matt has been awesome. He helps out so much. What an awesome man he is. He was even getting all the laundry through the wash and dry yesterday and then...he dropped the jug of bleach. Yikes. Many items where hit. Clothing, bibs, towels, but the worst. Shoes. I love my shoes. More then that I love my booots!!  Ellees uggs are no longer black but half brown, mine have brown splatters and matts casual brown shoes have some marks. It could have been a million times worse but it happens. He felt so bad too. :(

So I typed this all out and then tried to upload all the pictures. There will have to be a 2 month gap because some how I deleted all the pictures on the camera :( fail.
And to top it off I have an ear infection and have been prescribed a plethora of meds to help cope with my illness :(

Will post pictures soon tho!!

Ellee has swimming tonight and I hope to get a couple shots if I do end up going, depends how I'm feeling however.

It's worth it.

Today, has been one of those days. Things are just off. The Acura is having troubles so Matt has to do some replacing of parts. Mechanics are outrageous so Matt will do it himself. In the end it saves money to do it ourselves but still it's a pretty penny just for the parts.

Ellee is sick. Poor thing. Red eyed and runny nose. She sounds like she's hacking a lung up. But she's still fairly chipper given her cold. And she passed it to her mommy.

These are such simple things that are little bumps in the week. More like hiccups, or whatever is less then a hiccup that's probably what it is.

So thankful am I for my healthy children besides the common cold. And their sweet and loving faces even amidst their hyperactivity. I have not a complaint. I can not complain. The Lord has blessed us so much.

I can't complain about my beautiful babies.
And the captain crunch all over the floor.
And the eggs almost thrown in the grocery store.
Or the entire shelf of clothing broken in Kohl's.
Or the spit up all over my couch.

But for the children that don't have parents, I pray for. And the ones that are going to get some, I thank The Lord for.

The farm

Well this sums up the 3 days spent in Wisconsin. Obviously action packed and fun filled!!!!
Yes she was terrified of the snowmobile, she loved the puppies, they were constantly attacking her. :)

SNOW!

So its taken all winter for there to be snow! Last winter Ellee was much to little to take out and let her really enjoy the white wonderful creation by God. This year shes gotten a good love of it. And there is more to come in Colorado. 30 days!

We got dumped on about 7 inches I would say at least. And it is oh so lovely. When pulling out of the driveway to head to Bible study last night my husband proclaims;
"I love snow. I love winter."
My proclamation;
"That's why were married." :)
(Don't be alarmed, this is just one of the many reasons were together. :P )

So while matt was digging out the driveway on Tuesday night I bundled Bug up and shipped her out to play. Which ended up plopping here in the inches of snow covering the front yard and watch her just kind of be awed by it. It was pretty stinkin cute.

In the mean time, there has been plenty of hours spent indoors. We (me and ellee) might just be getting a little sick of each other. On the brightside, I found a Water babies swim class to sign her up for. Its a parent and child swim class held in a group which is great.
#1. She loves water
#2. I hope diminish any fear she does have it so that --->
#3. Come summer she'll be hopping in pools with wings on!
The hidden story here is I plan on catching lots of sun this summer :)

We're also heading to the Wisconsin Dells the end of the month, Easter weekend, which is just so awesome. Its gonna be so great for us to get away just as our little family, and also get to spend some couple time. Which frankly is only possible since we're bringing 3 lovely "nannies" with us. :)

                                                            Playing inside the Circus tent!!

Sweet P just being Sweet :)

Peyton loves to watch Ellee. Its the cutest thing. She even cracks the biggest smiles at her and all Ellee has to do is walk by.

After coming in from outside. Note the rose cheeks :)

Pre dinner girl time. aha!

Another post to follow on the weekend spent on the farm :)

Late nights early mornings.

Things have been a little sleepless for me lately. Peyton is either going through a growth spurt or just generally having a rough go. We had conquered and she was sleeping 11-5. Which is great for this mama as I have a hard time being alive without 8 hours of sleep. Hence, comes out the coffee pot a lot lately. Peyton has been up 2-3 times every night this week. Yesterday I was up for the day just after 5. Today just before six. Yesterday for Peyton, today for Ellee.

Having two kids is more stressful then one. I can't really imagine 3 being tougher for a stay at home rather then 2. Your already outnumbered. Not that we're planning for 3 to come along any time soon though!! The girls are so close in age that makes things the most difficult. I really don't go many places solo with them. Between carrying a car seat with baby, a diaper bag, and trying to hold a defiant toddlers hand, into any store it usually makes things difficult. However, more often then not I end up carrying all three bulky items into the store, or I'd end up dragging Ellee into most places. She's got itty bitty feet and with cars in parking lots it just makes things a mess. She's such an independent one though, she completely prefers to walk. And frequent fits follow when she's switched from walking to carrying.

Funny story for the week.
Ellee has been calling Matt 'ma'. She can't seem to get the t's out. Well when she hears the garage door it's always so cute she goes running and bangs on the door shouting ma ma ma incessantly. So I wanted to get it on video! I'm standing in the hallway recording the whole ordeal. Matt comes in says hi to Ellee then gives me a look.
Then asks me if I'm recording, and asks me if I need to tell him anything.
" Um, nope..just recording Ellee greeting you!"
" oh good. Cuz the last time I came home and you were recording you told me you were pregnant."
"Hilarious. No."
